Q: How does the Frag-Mag and the Deep Water Rock Mag work?
A: Both products get their holding strength from rare earth magnets. The latest generation of magnets allow us to increase magnetic strength without taking up any more valuable room in your tank.
Q: Is this product really reef safe?
A: Yes, the Frag-Mag is completely reef safe. The magnets are totally encapsulated and the outer material is 100% compatible for reef aquariums.
Q: Can the Frag-Mag and Deep Water Rock-Mag be submersed?
A: Yes, both products have been designed so that both sides can be placed in water. The obvious use in this instance is to attach corals to your overflow.
Q: What kind of coral can I put on the Frag-Mag or Deep Water Rock-Mag?
A: It is really up to your imagination. Really, any coral that you would attach to live rock is great on the Frag-Mag.
Q: How do you adhere the coral to the Frag-Mag or Deep Water Rock-Mag?
A: We recommend a reef safe two-part epoxy or Cyanoacrylate (super glue). We do recommend that you give the glue a while to cure before you place the frag on the vertical glass wall.
Q: Can the Deep Water Rock-Mag be used in conjuction with live rock in your tank?
A: Yes it can, the vision behind this product was to aqua-scape not only the base of the tank but utilize the back glass for coral growth.
Q: Will the Deep Water Rock-Mag hold on the back glass of my tank?
A: Yes, this product utilizes several magnets to hold the rock in place even as your corals grow. The recommended maximum thickness of your tank should not exceed 5/8".
Q: Are there any issues about curing the Deep Water Rock-Mag?
A: The product is shipped ready to be paced in your tank. There are no curing issues.
Q: Where should the Frag-Mag or Deep Water Rock-Mag be placed in the tank?
A: We envisioned placing them on the back of the tank as a wall of coral; however, they can be place on the bottom and sides as well.
