Aqua Mare — Deck Plan
Spread across four decks, the Aqua Mare is the epitome of style and elegance expected of a luxury superyacht. She is the first of her kind to sail the Galapagos Archipelago catering to a maximum of only 16 guests, exploring the dramatic volcanic landscape, encountering endemic wildlife, and experiencing out-of-this-world custom excursions.
The iconic sun deck of Aqua Mare is the ideal setting to enjoy the volcanic scenery of the Galapagos Islands from. Here you will find a spacious outdoor barbecue area to indulge in sunset cocktails and starlit panoramic dining, an outdoor six-person jacuzzi and sunbeds to lounge the hours away, as well as a convertible outdoor workout zone for you to keep up with your exercise regime.
The upper deck features the bridge where you are welcome to drop by for a chat with the captain at any time. It is also the perfect location to relax during your downtime and daily lectures, thanks to the main panoramic salon that is decked out in Italian Carrara marble, wooden veneer panelling, hidden 40-inch flat-screen televisions, personally selected antique art prints and stylish furnishings that define Aqua Expeditions’ signature style. There is also a lobby bar where guests can mingle over an evening drink before heading outside to the outdoor deck, which is equipped for all-weather dining. The only Cat V suite of the ship is located on the upper deck, where guests can take full advantage of the highest views from the yacht onto the surrounding panorama.
As well as boasting the two most sought after suites on the ship – CAT I Owner’s Suite and Cat II suite, the main deck is where guests will discover fresh and innovative locally-inspired cuisine with a Peruvian twist at the rear-located Dining Room. As with the rest of the ship, no expense is spared in its comfort and design, with a large Italian Carrara marble dining table that fits eight people, along with two other round marble tables that accommodate four guests each for a total of 16 guests. The entire ceiling is panelled with a luxurious microsuede fabric, while large windows allow for the admiration of the dramatic landscape outdoors as guests enjoy their meal.
The lower deck is almost entirely dedicated to the four spacious CAT III and CAT IV suites. The highlight of this level is the large lounge named the ‘Beach Club’, so-called because it is located at the water level and serves as an extension of the outdoors coming in and acts as a launchpad for many excursions. This room is the location for pre-excursion briefings facilitated by our naturalist guides, but also makes for the ideal space to relax and swap stories of the day’s activities with fellow guests, thanks to its wraparound sofa, large panoramic windows, and flatscreen TVs for lazy days. All Aqua Mare’s excursion equipment is stored close by – whether guests are up for kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, snorkeling, bird-watching with binoculars, and even stargazing via a telescope.
